Please check your sound settings on your device.

On Apple-devices: Settings -> General -> Use side switch to: Mute “OFF”. Now you can turn the sound on or off with the side switch on your device.

I have kids, can I limit In-App-Purchase?

Yes on your Apple Device you have the possibility: Settings -> General -> In-App-Purchase -> deactivate.
